Banchory Golf Club with Scolty in the distanceBanchory Golf Club - Par 69  SSS: 68

Strategically placed bunkers, mature native trees and the 'magnetic' River Dee provide obstacles that can test even the most accomplished player, on what is a truly delightful eighteen.  The signature hole is the 88 yard long par 16th known as the 'Doo-Cot which requires pin-point accuracy to find a green set above the ancient river bank.    Moreover a plethora of testing long holes, most notably the 420 yard 13th, ensure that the par of 69 is vigorously defended.  The course has recently been extensively remodelled by the renowned Scottish golf course architect John Souter. The 1999 British Open Champion Paul Lawrie was an assistant here and is a native of this area.   For more information visit www.banchorygolfclub.co.uk
