Rainy Days 3 - Kids of all Ages!

Some days you just need to get out there, regardless of the weather and have some active fun, with all the kids in your group including the big ones!

Deeside Activity Park, just a few miles West of Banchory has something for everyone, with kart racing, kids play area, an indoor rock wall, junior pedal carts, as well as lots of outdoor activities including archery and quad biking  There is also a restaurant and farm shop which serve mouthwatering homemade local goodies, including steaks and burgers made from the local Cairnton beef herd.

Raemoir Trout Fishery is set in a picturesque location just a few minutes North of banchory, and offers fishing for beginners and the more experienced angler, open all day until dusk, with equipment hire and instruction available but not essential. Children from 5 can fish with an accompanying adult.

Aboyne Swimming Pool hosts inflatable family fun in the holidays and the water in the Stonehaven Open Air Pool is lovely and warm! Stonehaven also has midnight swims on Wednesdays throughout the holidays. There are also pools with activities for children at Westhill and at the beach in Aberdeen.

Golf is a popular pastime - rain, hail or shine here in the North East, and there are two clubs where visitors can play in Banchory itself. Banchory Golf Club has a beautiful 18-hole golf course beside the River Dee, and Inchmarlo Resort & Golf Club offers both 9 and 18-hole courses, plus a driving range.  Both clubs welcome visitors.
