Deeside Bike Collective

13 May 2023

Fantastic to meet CRC on site at Corsee woods today to discuss making a start on Banchory Woodland Trails. Excitement is particularly high having seen their exceptional trail building skills at Tarland Trails and Glenlivet Mountain Bike Trail Centre recently.

Further 31k cash injection will help us open the Woodland Trails by Summer 2023

A £31,128 grant from FCC Communities Foundation will be used to develop and build the Blue trail as well as upgrade the core multipurpose path which cuts across the site at the Corsee Woods location on the west side of Banchory.

The addition of these funds to our existing SportScotland funding and other smaller but important funding sources gives us secure funding with which we can confidently commission phase 1 of the project.

The bike trails will be a fantastic asset to the local community and wider Deeside area.  The popularity of cycle sports has grown exponentially since the project started, so with the creation of these trails, we know they will provide the community, and visitors to the area, with the type of professionally constructed trails that are required to push and develop the sport further.
