Falls of Feugh Restaurant and Tearoom - at the Old Bridge of Feugh
The Falls of Feugh Restaurant and Tearoom is in an idyllic setting nestled on the River Feugh at the Old Bridge of Feugh. Originally a cottage, Mrs Ann Taylor started the business on July 1st 2004 with a view to providing a relaxing venue to enjoy food made from the finest local ingredients, freshly prepared and cooked to order. In July 2006 an additional Garden Room and small Function Room was built and has proved to be very popular for birthday, engagement, anniversary, retirement and family parties. The tearoom is surrounded by beautiful gardens with a blanket of daffodils and tulips in spring and an abundance of hanging baskets in summer. The aim has been to create a homely traditional atmosphere and with the strawberry china, gingham tablecloths and a warm welcome customers can relax and enjoy their food whether it be breakfast, coffee and homebakes or lunch.

Deeside Activity Park Farm Shop Roast
Deeside Activity Park - Farm Shop and Coffee Shop

Deeside Activity Park is not only a Mecca for outdoor activities and pursuits, as a diversification of a farming business we take our food very seriously. For our cakes and scones, Susan our baker, comes in early every morning and uses eggs from Cushnie and milk from Inverurie.  My good pal Sandy Ingram cures his own bacon and allows us to make an excellent bacon roll, as well as his very tasty sausages on our barbecue.

But most important is our beef - Cairnton (the name of our farm) Aberdeen Angus beef, known the world over as the finest;  bred and reared here in its homeland of Aberdeenshire, just a few miles from where the breed was founded in the early 1800's. Not only that, but our cattle are reared on a grass diet, go locally for slaughter and (most importantly) the beef is then 'dry aged' and hung for up to 30 days.  This is the produce we offer, whether it's in our burgers or our speciality Rib Eye steak rolls, served with saute potatoes and 'Isabella's horseradish. Mmmm!

All of this and more is in our wee farm shop.  It is not big and this allows us to be very choosey about what we stock.  Our beef, Sandy's bacon, Cushnie Eggs, Rob James Macbeth Ales, Duncans of Deeside shortbread and oatcakes, Tillquillie oats, and of course Isabella's entire range of jams and sauces.  Fresh veg is always on the rack and changed daily.

Come and have a browse round, a snack or a meal in the coffee shop, and before you go have a wander round the park and see the fish jumping in the loch.
