The Barn Arts Centre was founded in 1994 as a community arts venue, and has since grown into the nationally renowned, innovative and exciting hub for creativity it is today.

Throughout the year you can catch great performances from some of Scotland the world’s best artists. With a particularly fierce reputation for Folk and Trad music, the Barn is much more, offering a glimpse of every kind of creative and performance art. With music, dance, drama, comedy, there is something for everyone. On-site there is also an art gallery, boasting a diverse, ambitious programme of visual art.

The Barn is also renowned for its work in education, providing workshops for all ages covering a large range of creative skills from drawing and dance to singing and photography. As an organisation, they strive to support the community to grow and learn through creativity.

There is also much more onsite than just performances and workshops. Just next door is Buchanan Bistro, serving up delicious coffees, lunches, and dinners made with the best local produce. Behind the Barn are many community allotments, and a volunteer group maintain a beautiful Wild Garden space, open for anyone to visit and explore.
