‘The Magnificent Organ’ is an original creation by Scotland’s foremost street theatre company, Mischief La-Bas. It’s a zany, fun-packed, family friendly, outdoor show and will appear in Scott Skinner Square, Banchory on Sunday the 13th December at 12.00pm.
Inspired by the mayhem Spike Jones brought to his musical numbers, as well as Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and a nostalgia for British children’s programmes of the 1970’s such as Trumpton and Camberwick Green, The Magnificent Organcombines screwball comedy and acrobatic antics, choreographed to an original musical score. With its carefully painted detail, embellished with a welter of moving pipes, horns and limbs, the ‘Organ’ itself is a spectacular example of bespoke cabinet making and a delightful curiosity in any public space.
